His love for music began at a young age, his love for jazz began while serving in the United States Navy on board the aircraft carrier USS Constellation in 1982. He produced and hosted a daily afternoon radio show known as "Fusion Illusion" that featured jazz of all genres of that time and past eras.

 

After leaving the Navy in the Fall of 1985, he attended Northwestern State in Natchitoches, Louisiana and pursued a degree in Journalism and became a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. in 1986.  He continued to DJ college parties as well as produce and host a very popular R&B show on the college radio station before moving to Dallas, Texas.

 

Jazz became his forte', so when the opportunity made itself available in 2006 to bring his cool and unique jazz show to the internet, HeirPlay was born and was heard Monday - Friday during the morning drive on WINR Smooth Jazz out of Houston. The show combines all genres of jazz from around the world.

 

The songs heard on HeirPlay range in all tempos and flavors, each with their own unique sound that creates a very interesting blend with a global feel. HeirPlay is the perfect jazz soundtrack.
